Each piece is handcrafted from
pebbles, shells, driftwood and stone carefully selected & gathered in very small quantities from the beaches of
Ireland along with other natural & recycled objects & is designed & created by me in my little studio in
beautiful Ballincollig in Cork, Ireland. I am so lucky & grateful to live just 30 minutes from my nearest beach & am roughly an equal distance from the magnificent beaches in East & West Cork. They are housed in 100% Irish-made,
solid wood, box frames with glass. I try to use recyclable and/or recycled
materials wherever possible and I always endeavour to source all other materials from Irish suppliers, keeping it local at a time
when it has never been more important.
I have been making these pieces for a number of years now. Back surgery & a lengthy recovery period forced me out of the workplace & the job I worked in for almost 20 years when I had time to reconsider my life & the choices open to me as going back to a 9-5 desk job wasn't an option for me at the time.
After much encouragement, I decided to take what I loved doing in my spare time & to make it my full time job.....so here goes. A huge change for me after working in the corporate world for my entire career to date, but I'm excited. I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I have enjoyed creating them for you ❣️ Susan
